We continue uphill to the Red Dao minority village of Nam Toong, where you guide will prepare a delicious lunch in a local school.

3 Thanh Phu – Ban Lech – Sapa – Yên Bai via old road No.70 - Vu Linh homestay (B/L/D)

Today’s trek is relatively short compared to other days. Having breakfast and leaving Thanh Phu for 2 hours downhill to the Muong Bo River, we cross the river to the other bank and then challenging uphill for 2,5 hours along a narrow trail to Ban Lech Village of the Red Zao.
Spend an hour exploring this beautiful village before being picked up for 1-hour road transfer back to Sapa. Leaving Sapa after lunch via the old road No 70 which once is the sole road connecting Hanoi and Lao Cai. The old road takes you longer than the new highway but you will be rewarded back with stunning scenery after passing each turn embracing mountain's slopes.

Arrive in Lavie Vu Linh in the late afternoon - a beautiful ecolodge homestay close to Thac Ba, a human-made lake for the very first hydroelectric plant in Vietnam. Walking a few minutes on a dirt trail to the boat pier, take a short boat to Vu Linh homestay and lodge. Overnight there tonight.

4 Vu Linh exploring – Hanoi (B/L)

Enjoy breakfast then you will take a boat to visit Thac Ba lake. The lake was made by damming Chay River to build Thac Ba hydroelectric plant in 1971. Accidentally, this area is mainly limestone then it creates hundreds of islets on the surface and makes the water emerald all year round. The whole scenery gives you feeling of a small Halong bay but completely untouched. You boat back and lunch at Lavie Vu Linh before transferring back to Hanoi.
