Ha Giang

Ha Giang is a province that is often described as the final frontier or the northernmost area of Vietnam. The north part of Ha Giang forms a natural border with China which gives breathtaking scenery with dramatic and incredible mountain peaks of Dong Van Karst Plateau. Located 300km from Hanoi, Ha Giang is a rocky plateau region famous for its majestic picturesque sceneries. Ha Giang is a humid subtropical climate, typical climate with hot and humid summers, winters and colder winters. But due to the high terrain, the climate in Ha Giang is more temperate. The annual average temperature falls between 21.6 and 23.9 degrees. In the hot season, the temperature can be up to 40°C, the cold season temperatures go down as low as about 2.2°C. Although it is a bit harsh, you can basically travel to Ha Giang at any time of the year because the season is beautiful and every season has its own characteristics. In January, February and March, when peach blossom and plum blossom bloom, you can soak in many traditional festivals such as the buffalo fighting festival, the Tay festival to celebrate the longevity, the cage festival, the horse fighting festival. April is the month of Khau Vai love market with the bustling vibes of the markets or August with ripe rice season is also the ideal time for tourists to come and explore.
